Jonathan I. Mishara

Jon Mishara leads law and governmental affairs at FM Global, overseeing all legal functions and governmental relations, including corporate, compliance, regulatory, litigation, transactional and employment matters. As a member of the executive committee, Mishara contributes to the strategic direction and organizational oversight of the company. Mishara also serves as corporate secretary.

Mishara has been with FM Global for 27 years; he was appointed chief legal officer in 2013. Prior to that role, he managed the company’s litigation division of law and governmental affairs. Before joining FM Global, Mishara worked for the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office Criminal Bureau and was also in private practice.

Mishara received a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law in Massachusetts, USA, in addition to completing the high impact leadership executive education program at Columbia University’s Business School in New York, USA.

Mishara is a member of the American Bar Association, Rhode Island Bar Association, Association of Corporate Counsel and Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel. He established FM Global’s pro bono program, through which in-house legal staff provide free legal services to underserved populations. He is also active in community-based and nonprofit organizations.
