Carl Slater

Carl Slater is senior vice president of human resources at FM Global. In this role, he leads a global team responsible for attracting, developing and retaining an engaged and diverse workforce of top talent and effective leaders.

Previously, Slater served as vice president of total rewards, where he modernized FM Global’s total rewards philosophy and governance model across more than 40 countries concurrent with leading the establishment of a cohesive and high-performing center of expertise. Prior to joining FM Global, Slater was as a trusted advisor on employee benefit and executive rewards matters as a senior director at WTW.

Slater holds a bachelor's degree in actuarial mathematics from Concordia University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He is certified in Global Benefits Management by the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.
