Freeze: The Destructive Power of Cold
Freeze becomes a factor because of changing conditions within the facility. Either the facility is not adequately prepared for a sudden or dramatic lowering of temperature (e.g., inadequate insulation) or incidents such as a broken window are not discovered and repaired. Facilities located in regions that do not typically experience freeze conditions are often the most susceptible to freeze damage.
