Sustainable by Design

FM Global’s New Corporate Offices
At FM Global, loss prevention and property conservation are integral to sustainability. Since 1835, we have been helping clients maintain business continuity by working with them to protect their property, and we extend our loss prevention philosophy to all aspects of our own business—even our world headquarters.
Nestled within a natural landscape that preserves the beauty of the surrounding area, our new corporate offices building has been designed and constructed to our own engineering guidelines, as well as to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards established by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). The result is a 366,660 square-foot (34,064 square-meter) high-performance “green” building that applies the latest in technology to promote the health and wellness of employees and to minimize the impact on the environment, and has achieved a LEED Gold rating.
Our new corporate offices building maximizes energy performance and reflects today’s best environmental principles—from the outside, in. The moment you enter the front gates, evidence of these practices can be seen no matter where you look.
