FM Global Fire Prevention Grant Program
Because we believe that the majority of fire can be prevented, FM Global is pleased to offer financial support to organizations working to combat fire. Through our new Fire Prevention Grant Program, fire departments and brigades, as well as national, state, regional, local and community organizations can apply for funding to support a wide array of fire prevention, preparedness and control efforts, including:
- Pre-fire planning for commercial, industrial and institutional facilities
- Fire and arson prevention and investigation
- Fire prevention education and training programs
On March 1, 2016 the fire prevention grant application will be available as an online application. We will continue to accept paper applications until March 31, 2016. We will no longer be able to process paper applications starting April 1, 2016. Please check back after March 1, 2016 for the link to our new online application form.

When is the deadline for submitting my application?
Grant applications are reviewed three times per year. Deadlines for receipt of applications are April 1, August 1 and December 1. Decisions on awards will be made approximately 2-3 months after the deadline.
