About the Approval Guide Website

The Approval Guide provides users with a feature rich interface to facilitate researching FM Approved products and services. The site utilizes advanced web technologies including search and delivery tools from TechniCon Systems Inc. While efforts have been taken to adequately support current web browsers, compatibility is not ensured or supported beyond the following requirements:

Approval Guide Requirements

• Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.02 or higher (IE7 Recommended)
• Microsoft XP or Vista operating system (please see the minimum requirements for your Web browser to determine how much memory or disk space is needed)
• Web browser must have JavaScript/scripting enabled
• Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0 or higher, with the search option, for viewing PDF documents generated in the Approval Guide

Recommended

• Screen resolution set to display 1024 x 768 or higher
• System set to the maximum display colors (in Windows, this is called "True Color" or "High Color")
• Only a single Approval Guide session should be used at one time, (i.e. do not attempt to run the Approval Guide in multiple browser windows)
• Utilize the application navigation that is available on all pages. Use of the browser "Back" and "Forward" buttons is not recommended.
